Independently it is impossible to determine pregnancy term at a cat to within day. But if to observe behavior of an animal, it is possible to calculate date of estimated childbirth at least approximately.
Instruction
1. Show the house favourite to the veterinarian. The expert will determine pregnancy term most precisely, having made ultrasonography animal. At the same time consult with the doctor about that as well as what to feed future mom with – it is very important for normal development of posterity and maintenance of health of a cat.
2. If you cannot show a cat to the expert, try to determine the approximate term of pregnancy independently. On the third week after conception at an animal the vomiting, change of mood and passive behavior can be observed. All these symptoms have to disappear over time.
3. On the fourth week you will notice also other signs of pregnancy. At this time at a cat nipples will begin to increase and their color will change. If your favourite is going to become a mother for the first time, then these phenomena will be most expressed. In the subsequent pregnancies of a pacifier will change too, but it is not so strong as when feeding they get the bigger size, than were before first labor.
4. Approximately by sixth week of pregnancy at a cat the stomach is considerably rounded, and for 45-50 day it is possible to feel how kittens move in mother's womb. Be careful when you pick up an animal.
5. From the seventh to the eighth week at future mom the concern begins. The cat can run on rooms and look for the suitable place for childbirth. But do not wait that kittens will appear any day. It will occur not earlier than on the ninth week of pregnancy. Some days before childbirth the pussycat will calm down, will become thoughtful. If you noticed these changes - means, the cat can give rise at any time. Watch its state, and in case of need call the veterinarian.
