Instruction
1. A parrot it is possible to teach to talk in the first four years of life. The most favorable period in this regard is the very first year. The learned words and expressions the bird will remember all life. Budgerigars are capable to remember from two-three to hundreds and even thousands of words!
2. You give classes with a parrot regularly, repeat any given word or expression 10-15 minutes in the morning and in the evening. It is desirable write down him on a dictophone and put record on autorepetition. Consider that no foreign sounds should distract a curious bird. It is better to choose words without sonants. Parrots best of all acquire deafs and the hissing concordants. Not without reason one of the most widespread nicknames of parrots are Kesha, Gosha and Jascha. For a start teach him to say own name, and then you pass to other words.
3. Do not shout at a parrot at all! Do not do sharp movements and do not frighten him. Between you and to your birds there has to be an absolute trust. The parrot should not be afraid to sit down to you on a shoulder or on a hand; friendship and trust – guarantee of successful training.
4. If your parrot already mastered certain words, but you do not want to be satisfied with what has already been achieved, you can begin to train him in more "reasonable" speech. The majority of parrots repeat words inattentively as the learned song, "advanced" the phrases adequate to a situation are capable to give out. Show your feathery the objects having relations to your speech and make the actions corresponding to your words. For example, having told "leave", defiantly depart from a cage.
5. For the period of the classes remove a mirror from a cage. Parrots do not recognize themselves in reflection therefore it is important that during lessons "that another" did not distract it.
