Mastitis is the disease connected with inflammation of a mammary gland. Not only women, but also the feeding cats face it. Developing of mastitis is influenced by several reasons. Such disease of a mammary gland can affect health of both the cat, and her kittens.
Causes of mastitis
So, often this disease arises because of: • overcooling of an animal;
- bruises and injuries of a mammary gland; • infection with fungal or bacterial microflora through the cracks formed in nipples; • early depriving of kittens or a plentiful lactation which result in stagnation of milk in a mammary gland; • hereditary predisposition.

PreventionThe correct feeding of the pet, hygienic nipple care during pregnancy and after the delivery will help to avoid a disease.
