1. According to classification of the International film logical federation (FCI), pinschers enter into the second group of breeds of dog: "Pinschers, schnauzers, molossa and Swiss shepherd's dogs". Now the following types of this subgroup are known: - Dobermann terrier; - German pinscher; - dwarfish pinscher (tiny pinscher, known also under the name, or zwergpinscher; - an affenpinscher, - the Austrian pinscher.
2. The Dobermann terrier - the largest of pinschers, height in withers at dogs can reach 72 centimeters. Ears and a tail are stopped, however recently, under pressing of zoodefenders, it is possible to meet also "natural" Dobermann terriers. The breed was removed in the German city of Apolda at the end of the 19th century by Friedrich Luís Dobermann in honor of whom received the name. As some modern researchers assume, at removal of a Dobermann terrier the short-haired sheep-dogs, Rottweilers, black and subdead terriers and sleek-haired German pinschers who gave to descendants the best qualities were crossed. Dogs of this breed are easily recognized: black or chocolate and subdead and lean, they in any weather look elegantly. Pinschers are active, full of energy, are well trained, there is enough kontaktna and, at the same time, are friendly to children. Differ in a good nose - because of it are actively used in police and army in a number of the European countries. Earlier these dogs were also widely known as a Dobermann terrier pinscher.
3. The German pinscher is externally similar to a Dobermann terrier, but less large - dogs breeds reach height of 45-50 centimeters. They differ in endurance and balanced temperament. In the past they were used by the German farmers for protection and protection of possession and also accompanied owners during the travel. The descendants of the German pinscher brought by Dobermann became in the last years more popular, than their primogenitors. As a result, to the middle of the last century the breed appeared practically on the verge of extinction. Only efforts of small group of enthusiasts the breed managed to be kept. The big role was played in it by Verner Jung, having traveled over all Germany to bring together the remained pinschers who were once very popular. Now the breed begins to gain popularity gradually.
4. The Austrian pinscher was brought in Austria where it was widely used as shepherd's breed. Also these dogs perfectly proved, protecting barns from rats. In the past there were separate "Austrian short-haired pinschers", however they were united with the Austrian pinschers, having formed one breed. Their external characteristics are very various - dogs were brought for work, but not for exhibitions. It is known that they quite often fade, and their wool can be different shades, including red. White marks are allowed.
5. Zwergpinscher known also as dwarfish, or tiny pinscher, the smallest of representatives of this subgroup of breeds. Usually it is the small dogs reaching 25 — 30 centimeters in withers, red or black and subdead. Resemble the reduced copy of a Dobermann terrier or German pinscher superficially. Doggies are rather vigorous also muskulist, ears and tails are stopped at the request of owners.
6. Affenpinschers of also small size, however because of rigid wool visually seem a little more than the dwarfish fellows pinschers. The name of breed with the German word Affe which in translation is meant by "monkey" - the muzzle of dogs really often reminds this small animal. Affenpinschers, according to some experts, appeared in the 17th century, but then they were much larger. Being working dogs, these pinschers struggled with rodents in kitchens, in barns and stables. Now affenpinschers of various colors meet: gray, yellow, black, gray-brown and red, blue, black and subdead and also black with a gray hair (so-called "pepper with salt").
