Instruction

1. There is statistics according to which from 80 to 100 people become the victims of attack of sharks annually. And only a few from them get the wounds leading to death. Such figures do not do of sharks of monsters with what they are often exposed in movies. Especially as the person himself quite often makes contact with them, without following elementary safety rules, for example, during the entertaining excursions offering swimming with sharks in the ocean.

2. It is considered that from 370 species of sharks existing today only representatives of four can attack the person. It is white shark, tiger, longipennate and dumbface. And some types in general eat only plankton and jellyfishes.

3. Availability of blood in water is considered the main reason inducing a shark to attack the person. Because of it this predator just loses control over itself and can attack without discrimination. And blood can be not only the person, but also any fish.

4. In addition, the shark can just mix the person with the sea inhabitant as sight at her quite weak. Usually it occurs in muddy water. For this reason surfers become the victims of sharks often – the board and the extremities which are hanging down from it remind predators of seals and sea lions.

5. Sharks become more aggressive and in case feel the threat proceeding from the person. That is why attempts to frighten off the approaching shark often result in boomerang effect. Besides, sharks, as well as many predators, feel the fear proceeding from the living being that also draws their attention and provokes to attack.

6. Quite often the sting of a shark can be provoked by mere curiosity. As she has no sensitive extremities, the only way to learn about the sea inhabitant for it – to try to bite. That is why scientists advise not to float in habitats of these predators at night, in the evening or early in the morning – at this time they hunt.

7. Usually sharks long turn around the chosen victim, watching it and studying her behavior. Then they do one rapid attack. After that they can or leave in general the victim alone for some own reasons, or to move away from it for some time. In the latter case they just try to be protected from possible response, dangerous to them, and wait until the victim weakens.
