The domestic horse treats group one-hoofed which were cultivated by the person. She also represents the only subspecies of a wild horse, or Equus ferus which remained about modern days. The exception in this rule makes only a small number of horses of Przhevalsky.

1. It is considered that horses can live rather long time – up to 25-30 years though in it they for a decade are "bypassed" by the Scottish ponies which life can proceed up to 40 years. Unfortunately, this information is not completely and absolutely objective as wild conditions with predators, diseases and other dangers affect life expectancy of horses which units die a natural death. The situation and with the cultivated individuals is similar. The mankind uses these animals for the amusement or the hard works which practically always negatively affect health of horses.
2. For example, it is active in agricultural works or sports competitions the young horses begin to be used on 3-4 year of life that for these animals makes very early age similar to 12-16 human years. At this time at a horse joints still are finally not created therefore strong physical and emotional activities, one may say, quickly drive her "into a grave", not to mention, often, just awful conditions of keeping of animals, the wrong feeding and to others factors.
3. For example, in the territory of the former hippodrome of the city of Samara there is a small monument to a horse long-liver who lived the whole 10 years! Physiologically this age for horses is youth and even not a maturity, but even it is a peculiar record for the Oryol trotters.
4. It is a little, but nevertheless there live horses in the territories belonging to the steppe or nomadic people which divide these animals into meat and dairy longer. The second are ordinary all the year round grazed on extensive pastures, and people watch emergence of predators. Such life is not too stressful, horses do not carry heavy loads, do not become a part of unnatural human amusements therefore live longer. But, unfortunately, dairy or kumysny animals are constantly melted, mares constantly give birth, doing not miss any "hunting" that also affects "wearability" of an organism of horses.
5. Perhaps, scientists will be able once to make exact idea of that how many horses who live in the most comfortable conditions – with useful physical activities, great food, absence of stresses and health hazards and also other factors can live. But for this purpose not one is necessary, not ten, and several hundreds of observations of horses who will live the life in the most comfortable conditions.
