1. Try to take in the house of kids. If the kitten and a puppy begin to live together with the most early age, then their friendship is almost guaranteed. In case you already have an adult dog, and you want also a cat, then take a little kitten.
2. Surely check the first meeting of your pets. Let they will sniff to each other, the kitten will a little master space. Right at the beginning do not try to bring together them. It is quite natural if the dog and a cat study each other from outside. You watch only that your dog from any motives, it is possible even exclusively friendly, did not frighten the kid.
3. At the beginning you feed a dog and a kitten in one room, but in different corners. Thus instinctively they will begin to connect each other smell with something pleasant. In general, it is necessary to feed animals separately always even if later they will begin to be treated from others plates. But until your pets make friends, do not allow them to climb in someone else's ware – it is fraught with the conflict.
4. Try not to allocate the favourite. Both a dog, and a cat, having appeared as deprived of attention, can show jealousy and do you small dirty tricks. With each other it will also distance them. If you iron and you play with one, then find time and to the second pet.
5. Control the period when animals begin to approach. Belonging to different types and families, dogs and cats "speak" different languages. The cat can understand signals which for a dog are expression of joy and the invitation to a game absolutely differently and show aggression. But with time and they will learn to understand each other language as your supervision.
6. Encourage their arising friendship. Organize joint games, iron both animals and talk to them. The cat, most likely, quickly will understand that the friend can be used as a live hot-water bottle. You will understand attachment of animals on mutual licking, a dream, games.
