Owners of thoroughbred dogs know, it is how important to bathe the pets regularly. Wool needs to be kept clean, especially in case the dog participates in exhibitions. It concerns also dachshunds, such active dogs sometimes cannot but just be stained during walk!
Instruction
1. First of all it is necessary to choose special dogs shampoo. The complexity consists that at dachshunds very dry skin therefore incorrectly picked up means can cause irritation. As shampoo washes away natural lubricant of skin, between bathings it is necessary to take a break in 5-6 days that lubricant managed to be restored.
2. It is necessary to wash a dachshund completely, from a nose tip to a tail tip. Therefore that water accidentally did not get into ears of your pet, before bathing enclose in them carefully oiled pieces of cotton wool.
3. Pour special dogs shampoo in a separate bowl, then dilute it with water, carefully stir and shake up foam. Put a dachshund on a bathtub bottom. If a bathtub too cold – previously heat it by means of a stream of warm water. Besides, on a bottom it is possible to lay an old terry towel or a rag.
4. Carefully wet hair of a dachshund. Pay attention to water temperature! Dogs are recommended to be washed with cool water, but not warm and the more so is not hotter. Having wetted wool of your pet, accurately apply on it shampoo. Carefully wash out wool (for achievement of the best effect it is possible to use a special brush), and then wash away shampoo and rinse a rate. Pay attention: wool after washing has to be slippery.
5. Further it is necessary to dry up wool slightly. It is possible to make it in several ways. First, it is possible to run hands over a body of a dachshund as if squeezing out water of wool. Secondly, to blot wool with a dry rag or a towel. Thirdly, slightly to blow to a dachshund in an ear: in this case she instinctively will begin to shake off.
6. After preliminary drying carefully wipe a dog and wrap it in a warm towel. If desired it is possible to apply on the pet's wool special oil, balm for dogs or any other means which does not need to be washed away. Then hair of a dachshund can be dried up by means of the hair dryer (pay attention that the current of air has to be cold) or to allow a dog to dry independently.
