2. A task of the hunter to strengthen a bait so that the mink could not pass a trap. For this purpose put everything that will come to hand in in advance found and prepared deepening. It can be branches, stones, leaves – any natural material. As a result the tiny tent has to turn out.
3. On an entrance of a shalashik establish a trap. In the distant end place a bait. Who has experience of hunting for minks, knows that for this purpose it is convenient to use birch bark. Remove a birch bark cover from the dried trunk. Close one end and put in it a bait.
4. Establish a pipe near the habitat of a mink. At the end of a pipe place a trap. If hunting happens in cold season, it is important to watch that water did not get to the mechanism of a trap. For this purpose the device needs to be installed correctly.
5. Put leaves, branches, a dry grass, a moss under a trap. Thus, the trap will not freeze to the earth. As unfamiliar objects cause more curiosity in a mink, than fear, it is not obligatory to mask a trap.
6. Minks are near-water animals therefore rescue look for in water. Knowing it, a trap you fix to the peg hammered at lead distance into water. Thus, the animal who got to a trap will not be able to get out on the land and will drown.
7. As a bait use fresh meat of a forest game. For example, black grouses, hazel grouse or wood-grouse. It is also possible to use pieces of fish. However the smell of fish attracts a mink much less, than a smell of fresh meat.
