The health of small fishes and other inhabitants of an aquarium directly depends on water quality. It is necessary to change it several times a month, every time adding a small part. Water from under the crane should be settled, and only after it in it it is possible to plant seaweed and underwater plants and also to start your pets.
It is required to you
- - capacity for water;
- - siphon nozzle or plastic tube with a diameter of 1-1.5 centimeters;
- - additives for neutralization of hazardous substances (at will).

1. Gather the necessary amount of water and defend it not less than 5-7 days. In case terms draw in you, 1-2 days later filter water through activated carbon or to boil within 10 minutes. However you have to remember that in the course of boiling water loses oxygen and it should be aerated. Settle water only in the enameled or glass container (enamel has to be obligatory for whole). It is undesirable, but nevertheless you can use plastic bottles for upholding. Put the gathered water to such place where on it sunshine will not get.
2. If in your aquarium there is a soil, drain a part of old water, using a special siphon nozzle. Otherwise, you can use also plastic tube of small diameter (1-1.5 centimeters). For the end, the tube lowered in water, surely dress a gauze in order that in it did not drain in small fishes. You should not forget also about aquarium walls, in case of their strong pollution, you have to clean surely them before water change. Dolivka of water is carried out only partially, for time it is possible to change no more than 1/3-1/5 from aquarium volume. You have to carry out full change of water only in extreme cases, such as: emergence of fungal slime, entering of undesirable microorganisms, big pollution of soil, etc.
3. For filling of a new aquarium settle water not less than 5 days then pour prepared it in an aquarium, plant plants and start small fishes. If you want to accelerate establishment of the normal environment, add to it a little water and soil from already arranged safe aquarium in which there is a ready complex of microorganisms. At will, you can buy special additives which neutralize hazardous substances in shop, at their use water will not need to be settled.
