Any horse needs a hat – not only to protect ears from cold, but also for protection against flies and gadflies, the scorching sun, loud sounds and shouts. You can connect ears on a horse and independently, it is only necessary to allocate for this purpose time and will learn to own a hook or needles.

Instruction
1. Choose threads for knitting and a hook of the corresponding size. For a summer hat buy brilliant cotton threads, or beautiful synthetics. For the winter make warm acrylic ears. Consider that the animal often sweats therefore knitted hat for a horse has to endure not one washing (especially, light shades).
2. To connect ears, you need knowledge of some designations. Learn how columns with nakidy, columns without nakid, air loops and magnificent columns match.
3. Measure distance between outer edges of ears and gain the quantity of loops corresponding to this distance (it is previously possible to measure on a sample quantity of loops in one centimeter). Knit columns about nakidy several ranks that there were about 5 - 6 cm. For ornament add a row with a magnificent column. Openwork patterns will be suitable for a summer hat, and for winter prefer dense knitting.
4. Connect a triangle or a semicircle, at the same time measure distance to eyes of a horse not to make it too long (otherwise it will climb in eyes and to disturb). Here too pick up the openwork or dense drawing, depending on your desire.
5. Separately connect a strip which will be located behind ears, its length has to be about 40-45 cm, and width of 5-6 cm. Then continue to knit on the middle of a strip, having left length equal to distance between ears of a horse. Knit the same knitting 8-9 cm.
6. Sew both details among themselves from inner side that the seam was not visible. At first sew a part which will be located between ears, you watch that it appeared on the center of the first detail. Then to faces of the first did sew a horizontal part of the second (not faces!) so that corners coincided.
7. Decorate a hat with a fringe on a first line of a triangle, but do not do it too long that it did not climb in eyes.
8. Connect ears. For this purpose measure length and width of ears, gain the quantity of loops corresponding to coverage of an ear or length of the opening received in a hat. Knit around, gradually reducing quantity of loops. It is very important to connect the second ear in precisely the same way therefore write down how many loops in what row you reduced. If it is impossible to connect accurately, just sew these fabric details. Sew them to a hat.
9. Connect strips and sew them in the place of a joint of two details, tie them under a neck of a horse that the hat did not fall.
