Some pregnant dogs try to spend much time with people, at the same time they sometimes become sluggish, apathetic, and the owner can even have an impression that a bough feels unwell.
2. Address to veterinary clinic in which carry out the test for pregnancy for a bough. Veterinarians take from a dog blood on the analysis, and then define the maintenance of a relaksin in blood. High level of this hormone demonstrates that the dog is pregnant. This test is most effective on 3-4 week after knitting. It is possible to carry out it earlier, however the reliability of results will be under doubt.
3. Ask the veterinarian to make a palpation to define pregnancy boughs. As a rule, this procedure is effective during the period from 24 to 35 day of pregnancy: to 24 days lumps puppies still too small, and them it is difficult to probe, and after 35 they become very soft that considerably complicates pregnancy definition by a palpation method.
4. Make to your dog of ultrasonography. After 35-38 in the afternoon it is possible not only to define pregnancy boughs in such a way, but also to learn how many puppies she bears. By means of ultrasonography in more late stages of pregnancy it is also possible to check whether fruits are viable, whether normally they develop, whether there are no serious deviations.
5. Observe changes in appearance of a dog. At some the bough on 5-6 week begins to increase a stomach, and nipples slightly swell up a little. It is especially noticeable if in a dung there are a lot of puppies. However it is important to remember that some boughs almost do not change externally up to 1-2 weeks before childbirth.
