2. Prepare the place for childbirth and make sure that someone from members of household will be able to look after a cat and to help her in case of need. It is desirable that at the right time you had an opportunity to ask for leave from work and to deliver your favourite.
3. Provide to your British cat good conditions for childbirth. Lay clean diapers in specially prepared box. Track that in the room it was warm and silent that strangers and loud sounds did not stir future mother. The fact is that it is at the time of delivery very important to British cat to feel protected. Otherwise childbirth can drag on or even to stop until the animal does not calm down.
4. Do not worry, otherwise your favourite will begin to worry too. When fights begin, you will notice wavy movements in a stomach of future mother at once. Accurately and gently iron a cat, you speak with her by a low, tender voice. Do not leave a cat alone, calm her if she begins to rush about and loudly to mew.
5. You watch a condition of a cat. After a while fights will pass into attempts, and you will see how the first kitten is born. If the kitten cannot be born in any way – slightly leans out, again disappears – grease an opening with vaseline that it was easier for cat to push out the kid. If it did not help, accurately take a kitten for skin and slowly pull out. Do not take him for paws, the head and other parts of a body at all, you can cripple or even to kill the fragile newborn!
6. Pay attention to how the cat cares for the kid. If the kitten was born in a bubble, and the cat did not crack it at once – quickly take scissors and carefully cut a film. Take from it a kitten, remove slime from nostrils and a mouth. If the kitten does not breathe, bend his little body, having pressed the head to hinder legs, unbend and again bend. Repeat it several times.
7. Surely track emergence of afterbirths: how many was born kittens, has to be also afterbirths so much. The cat should allow to eat 1-2 afterbirths, but the others should be thrown out that at new mother the vomiting did not open and diarrhea did not begin.
