Hamster it is possible to buy in poultry market or in any pet-shop. Experienced experts advise to buy males as females have from time to time a techka at which the secret having a specific smell is allocated. However it is not so simple to distinguish a hamster boy from a hamster girl.
Instruction
1. Take a hamster in a hand. Do it with the maximum care that to an animal it was not sore. Accurately hold with a thumb the head and the top part of his trunk so that pads and the lower part of a little body hung in mid-air. Thus you will be able to find out sex of a hamster, having attentively considered a crotch and its situation in relation to an anus.
2. Even do not try to make out genitals at hamsters, especially at newborns, on the ordinary place you will not find "the dignity of the real man". Pay attention to distance between sexual and an anus better.
3. If genitals are located absolutely near an anus, and the crotch is not covered with wool, then this is, most likely, the girl. If look narrowly attentively also at a homyachikha stomach, then you will be able to see also nipples which are located in two ranks.
4. If distance between genitals and an anus quite big, and all crotch is covered with wool, then you have in hands a little male. Adult males can have a distance to one and a half centimeters. If you want to buy a hamster which has already more than a month, then in the course of his survey it is already possible to notice the small testicles which are near the tail basis.
5. If at you it did not turn out to distinguish a sex of a hamster in the traditional way, feel his stomach. Pay attention: males in the center of a tummy have gland which is to the touch similar to a navel or a furuncle. And here at females a tum smooth.
6. If you could not distinguish the boy hamster from the girl hamster (especially difficultly to define a sex at the Dzungarian breed), then it is the best of all to hold, in order to avoid pairing of animals, them in separate cages and whenever possible to consult concerning their sex with the expert.
