1. The brightest sign of young age at wavy parrot is that wavy drawing on the head thanks to which this kind of parrots received the name. At a parrot who is younger than six months this drawing covers a front part of a back and passes to the head. Moreover, it reaches the voskovitsa - the basis of a beak on which there are nostrils. The drawing over a voskovitsa disappears during the first molt of a parrot which, as a rule, occurs in six months.

2. One more sign of youth at a parrot are black spots on a horn part of a beak, brushes, similar to dabs. It is possible to determine by these spots that the birdie is no more than two months old. However this sign is characteristic only of normally painted birds. The parrot albino will have no such spots at any age.

3. Pay attention to eyes of a parrot. Existence of an iris of the eye around eyes says that the bird is already more senior than six months. However, there are also mutations as a result of which eyes of a parrot during all life remain black, or dark red.
