Turtles do not differ in beauty, are not able to play or caress the owner, but it does not mean at all that they do not require to themselves attention and leaving. It is necessary to look after domestic turtles just as other pets. Therefore it is necessary to know how it is correct to feed a turtle.

1. Do not forget that krasnoukhy turtles by the nature - predators. Therefore surely include animal food in their diet: mincemeat, a crank, the granulated forage.
2. You do not feed krasnoukhy turtles only with meat - they will have a risk of development of rickets.
3. To prevent development of deficiency of calcium, include boiled fish in a diet of turtles. Give fish together with small stones, it is not necessary to be afraid that turtles will choke. When feeding by fish choose only low-fat grades.
4. If turtles young, pay more attention to vegetable sterns: young cabbage, lettuce leaves, various pond seaweed, give preference to animal sterns only when they a little grow up.
5. You feed young turtles daily, after achievement of two-year age it is possible to feed several times a week.
6. The Central Asian overland skulls you feed with rough food of plant origin - cabbage, a rigid grass, beet, carrots.
7. Remember that such plants as a wolf bast, a horse sorrel, tulips (and in general all bulbous), forget-me-nots, a golden shower, can have pernicious effect on health of your pet. It is impossible to include these plants in a diet of a turtle.
8. Be not obsessed with food of one look - vegetable and animal food have to enter a diet of a turtle equally. Only this way it is possible to reach full feeding.
9. You feed turtles in the afternoon since it is day animals. The appetite at turtles "wakes up" after they get warm. Therefore before feeding in 1.5-2 hours include lamps heaters. If there is no such opportunity because of work or study, transfer feeding time for evening. But, consider that it is better for turtles to give a forage in 3-4 hours prior to switching off of lamps because at a temperature of 30 degrees the process of digestion at them proceeds for 30-40% more intensively, than at the room temperature.
