How to feed aquarian fishes

There is a set of species of aquarian fishes, so both types of a forage, and feeding methods much too is thought up. Experts advise to adhere to several important points that small fishes felt comfortable, well grew and gave rich posterity.

Instruction

1. Follow simple rules when feeding aquarian fishes: - you feed fishes 1-2 times a day at the same time day; - carry out feeding in one place. If in an aquarium there are a lot of fishes, strong fishes do not allow to swim up weak – places for feeding has to be a little; - once a week arrange to fishes "fasting day", depriving of them livelihood; - use an automatic feeding trough if you leave for long time and you will not be able to feed fishes. However consider that small fishes will quite live without food within several days therefore in case of short absence do not entrust to other people care of your favourites better; - diversify the menu, do not use only dry feeds. Surely add a live forage and vegetable elements (vitamins, the scalded salad) to a diet; - you feed fishes moderately as overfeeding is the most common cause of infertility, obesity and premature death of aquarian fishes. Use the rule: it is necessary to give so much forage how many fish can eat within 5 minutes.

2. Place a plastic ring on a water surface and put inside a pinch of a dry feed. Consider that some types of flakes need time to gather water. Therefore that the forage did not inflate in stomachs at fishes, place it in water in 5-10 minutes prior to feeding.

3. Wash out in flowing cold water a live forage for fishes. Use tweezers to lower in water of a crank, trubochnik, a Cyclops and other crustaceans. For simplification of process of feeding place a forage in a plastic form with openings, then live copies will filter into an aquarium.

4. Put in a feeding trough the frozen forage at once after thawing.

5. Feed soil fishes when the others ceased to snatch on a forage.

6. Remove surplus of a forage from an aquarium: collect a dry feed from a surface, and live catch the remains a net. Do not allow frequent subsidence of an uneaten forage on a bottom as it can cause emergence of silt, turbidity of water and excessive reproduction of seaweed.
