The reproductive ability of bulls generally depends on a condition of their maintenance and the balanced feeding. For this purpose it is necessary to proceed from biological features of an organism of an animal, natural abilities and assimilation of various types of forages. Such approach to a bull will provide high efficiency and fertility.

1. In feeding of bulls the full-fledged diet which has to be provided with vitamins, a large number and high quality of a protein, mineral substances is important. Include in food of an animal forage, rich with a protein, it will increase its sexual activity and ability of spermatozoa to fertilization. Along with quantity of a protein it should be taken into account the content of carbohydrates – sugars. 150 grams of sugar during the winter period and 80-110 grams have to fall on 100 grams of the digested protein in the summer.

2. One-year-old bull-calves need to provide plentiful feeding, at this age their weight has to be about 380 kilograms, it is not less. Is more senior than bull-calves, gradually you transfer to moderate feeding. It cultivation and feeding will provide optimal conditions for their development and growth, will accelerate puberty, will prevent obesity.

3. Bean and cereal hay with good tastes and bright green color has to become the main diet for a young bull-calf. For the growing bull-calves compound feed should not be too difficult, it has to include one grain ingredient – oats or corn, plus to it add the component containing a large amount of protein – dry skim milk or meal.

4. In feeding of bulls it has to be satisfied their need for minerals: copper, manganese, cobalt, iodine and zinc. The maintenance of minerals in various sterns depends on the soil, a zone and fertilizers. Pay special attention to providing bulls with vitamins D, A, E. For satisfaction of need of animals for vitamin A, give them a forage with carotene content. Is a green and fresh grass in the summer, and in the winter – good and quality hay.

5. During the winter period the following structure of a diet is recommended: hay of high quality – 40-45%; granules or grass meal – 8-10%; the concentrated forage – 40-45%; 4-5% special additives. During the summer period: hay – 23-25%; granules or grass meal – 7-8%; a green forage – 34-35%; the concentrated forage – 33-35%; special additives and animal forages – 1%.
