Turkey-cocks – the biggest poultry – at the correct sagination can reach the weight of 17-20 kg, a turkey – 9-11 kg. Meat of this bird is very useful as protein-rich and contains small amount of fats and cholesterol.

1. Many mistakenly consider that turkey-cocks need to be fed in the same way, as well as hens. But turkey-cocks eat absolutely in a different way. Besides carrots offer birds of berry of a rowan or the needles of a pine, a fir-tree, a fir rich with carotene and vitamin C.

7. During a breeding season of turkey-cocks you feed 4-5 times a day, and separate males from females and feed up in the morning and in the evening the cottage cheese couched by grain, carrots.

8. Offer baby birds in the first days after the birth the eggs hard-boiled and rolled in semolina. For the third day of life it is possible to give the crushed greens, for example, the crushed green onions, however it is worth giving it in the morning as onions cause strong thirst. From two-week age offer turkey poults dry full-fledged compound feeds, putting them in the automatic feeder once a day (only on daylight).

9. The first two weeks of turkey poults you feed 8 times a day, try to do it at regular intervals. From early age the baby birds willingly eat greens therefore give more greens of a clover, nettle, a tops of vegetable of beet and carrots, cabbage leaves. At the age of one month the baby birds have to eat 6 times a day, and then 5 times. Arrange the first feeding at 5 o'clock in the morning, the last at 8 o'clock in the evening.
