Usually during the flight season of a bee prepare medical and to a perg for a wintering, but sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances as rainy summer, attack of bees thieves and others. And then the beekeeper has to fill up forage stocks in beehives that bee families did not die from hunger.

1. At the end of summer after end of a medosbor make audit, that is check how many honey is in any given beehive, remove a low-copper and unfinished framework. During survey define how many it is necessary to give to each bee family of sugar syrup.
2. After identification of bee families with a small stock of honey, begin to feed them. For this purpose prepare sugar syrup in a proportion 1х2 (1 l of water on 2 kg of sugar). It is impossible to boil syrup, otherwise it will quickly crystallize in cells, and bees will not be able to use it.
3. In the evening in warm weather pour warm syrup in feeding troughs. They happen two types, those which put in beehives or near a framework (internal), and such which put on a framework (top). Place feeding troughs in beehives. Bees quickly choose from them a forage therefore it is necessary to resupply in 1-2 days.
4. If it was not succeeded to feed up bees before a wintering, then make it during it. There is one rule. It is possible to feed up in the winter of bees only at external air temperature not less than 2-4 degrees Celsius. For this purpose bring the families wintering under the open sky to rooms with the corresponding temperature.
5. For feeding use sugar syrup with the same concentration, as well as when fertilizing for the winter – 1х2. Pour it in empty cells on a frame, uncover on a beehive, turn off holstik (polozhok), covering a framework with the wintering bees and place at the end. Cover holstiky and lower a beehive cover into place. During the work use a lamp with red glass. At red light of a bee nothing is seen and therefore do not attack the beekeeper.
6. It is possible to feed bees in a different way by means of a glass half-liter jar. For this purpose fill it with dense sugar syrup, close dense fabric and tie. If everything is made correctly, then when turning syrup will not flow down but only will make fabric damp. Remove a cover from a beehive, turn off in a corner holstik and deliver to bank a throat down on a framework with bees. Every other day it is necessary to look whether became empty bank, as required replace new. When bees are fed, remove to bank and close a beehive a cover.
