1. Cultivation of quails allows to receive high-quality food without special efforts. Generally part egg breeds of these birds: Japanese, marble, black, British. Those who loves meat of quails can pay attention to breed "Pharaoh": these birds are grown up on meat. It is recommended to buy quails in the farms which are engaged in such kind of activity. It is important to make sure that the nursery is safe concerning infectious diseases of a livestock.
2. This moment can be traced during visual inspection of economy. If quails are held in the clean well ventilated rooms, in cages at them is dry and warm, and birds are vigorous, so it is possible to buy fearlessly young growth for cultivation. If it is decided to gain a small amount of quails, they can be supported in cages for songbirds or terrariums. If scales considerably big, it is necessary to prepare the room properly.
3. Quails are supported either in cages, or on a floor with a hard coating. All surfaces (floor and walls) have to be smooth, not absorbing moisture. It will allow to clean and disinfect them easily. The cage for 80-100 quails can be made of any incidental materials. A floor has to be made of a grid by a polyvinyl chloride covering with a cell of 10-10 mm. It is dimmed dense rough paper which is daily changed.
4. The space of a cage is divided partitions 19-20 cm high which can be removable. Optimum length of a cage – 145-150 cm, height – 25-30 cm. Chickens are placed at the rate of 1 head on 18-20 cm2. To avoid possible overcooling and a disease of a livestock, near a cage mount heaters (lamps with reflectors).
5. Quails grow quickly: in two months their weight increases from-8 to 120-160 g. Right after transportation of a livestock from farm to the place of cultivation, each chicken it is necessary to give to drink water of room temperature to which add baytrit (on 1 l of water of 75 ml of medicine). Indoors, where support a bird, it is necessary to maintain temperature 20-22os. When in cages land chickens – 35-36os, gradually reducing it to the required level.
6. Feeding of a livestock is made by means of tray or zhelobkovy feeding troughs and drinking bowls. To prevent a rash of a forage, tanks with it cover with a grid with a coarse mesh. On each cage there have to be not less than two feeding troughs and one drinking bowl. As a forage use compound feed, corn or wheat dert, fish meal, fodder yeast.
