1. In the first weeks of pregnancy of a dog eat less than usual. Therefore if you notice that your favourite turns up the nose at food and eats a little, perhaps, she is pregnant. Some animals seek to retire, keeping out of themselves nobody, others – nestle on the owner and begin to demand caress. Look also at nipples of a dog. Within the first two weeks of pregnancy they increase in sizes and become firm. Besides, if your favourite already gave birth, her nipples will begin to droop.
3. On the fifth month pregnancy you can notice changes in appetite of the pet again. You will see that it sharply increased, and the dog begins to demand from you more food. If it occurs, perhaps, she is pregnant and is going to feed the puppies in the future. Changes will be visible also at the physical level. Nipples of a dog will begin to be filled with milk and will increase in sizes even stronger. Her stomach will become firmer to the touch.
4. Late pregnancy is characterized by the drooped stomach. If the dog is pregnant with several puppies, the stomach will be strongly increased. Last weeks you can even feel the movement in her stomach if apply to it a palm. The increased weight of a dog will force it to move much more slowly, it will begin a thicket to turn on one place.
5. If you notice that your pregnant dog cannot sit still, constantly moving from place to place, perhaps, she prepares for birth of puppies. Changes in behavior which you noticed in the last weeks can be confirmation to that. Before childbirth the dog can begin to look for the place for a privacy to give birth alone. However it occurs not always. Some dogs do not leave and reproduce a potomtstvo near the owner.
6. One more sign of fast childbirth is the aspiration of an animal to prepare a soft laying for future dung. If you thought in advance of it, the dog will take the place prepared by you and will not leave it before the end of childbirth. It usually occurs in 1–2 days prior to appearance of puppies on light.
