1. If in your house there was a budgerigar, it is necessary to equip a cage correctly. The bottom of a cage has to be sliding, so it will be simpler to you to clean it (it is necessary to clean a cage daily, to wash – once a week). 2. It is desirable that the feeding trough and a drinking bowl were made of porcelain or glass. It is better to settle water for parrots previously that chlorine disappeared, then only pour it in a drinking bowl. It is necessary to change water daily, in warm season – twice a day. In the spring and it is recommended to add three drops of fresh juice of a lemon which promotes strengthening of a pen-type cover and disinfects water to a drinking bowl in the fall. Every day wash a drinking bowl and a feeding trough with hot water with baking soda, wipe dry.
3. Food of a budgerigar has to be balanced therefore it is necessary to put several feeding troughs in a cage (for grain, fresh fruit and vegetables). One adult parrot has enough in day of two teaspoons of grain mix which consists generally of oats, a millet, a canary seed, sunflower seeds. It is possible to give to birds of porridge, prepared on water, salad, fresh greens, cottage cheese, germinated cereals. To satisfy an organism of a bird in protein, give to the favourite small cut egg. Clean river sand without different impurity is necessary for a parrot for ensuring good process of digestion.
4. Parrots constantly gnaw something therefore it is necessary to place fresh branches of a rowan, a linden and other deciduous trees in a cage. Kidneys and bark of fresh branches contain many mineral substances and vitamins which are very useful to winged pets. Before placing branches in a cage, carefully wash up them and drench several times with boiled water.
