Decided to get small fishes, water in an aquarium settled week, boiled soil, planted plants. The compressor is connected, and all made according to the instruction, but … small fishes, snails, shrimps do not take root. Improper level rn waters can be the cause of it. The water from the crane which settled 1-2 weeks needs to be softened, having lowered it rn oxidation.
Instruction
1. Provide your pets with the balanced water, doing it as close as possible to that in which they liveare in to the nature. rn for them you can obtain information on necessary level in specialized shops or in reference books. Measure composition of water by a rn-tester or other device.
2. Filter water for an aquarium the peat filter. Such filtration saturates water with humic acids which reduce an indicator rn to a neutral point (7.0). Peat also reduces carbonate hardness of water and does not allow to breed to bacteria which will wound small fishes. Do not forget to replace such filter – it is washed away over time.
3. Place a snag in water. The snag will act not only as a decorative element – it also promotes decrease rn waters, however, slightly, but sometimes to the necessary level. Of course, not any snag will approach, and it demands preliminary heat treatment by salty water and a long otmachivaniye. Nevertheless, the snag can become irreplaceable for some species of fish.
4. Enter CO2 carbon dioxide into an aquarium. For this purpose use special barrels with gas, certain devices, or even a bottle with yeast. It not only will lower level rn to necessary for fishes, oxidizing water, but also will accelerate processes of growth of aquarian plants.
5. Use the acid buffer. Soil from the special granules which are available on sale can be considered as the buffer. Buffering is provided by ions of bicarbonate (hydrocarbonate) and a carbonate (ions of carbonic salt). Insufficiently buffered water is more subject to sharp changes of the pH level, unlike well buffered.
6. Change a part of water for softer water (it is possible the boiled or acidified orthophosphoric acid) or water with a reverse osmosis (cleaned). Water additive, rn which has to be lower than 7.0 it is necessary to make in the small portions in order to avoid sharp changes of acid-base balance. It is necessary to monitor constantly changes of the pn level to be aware of what in your aquarium occurs, and in time to react.
