5. You can make a claw sharpener - very useful adaptation which will give a cat a lot of joy and will save your furniture from damage. Make a rectangular frame of plates and fit it a tapestry, a carpet or burlap. Fix a claw sharpener at a wall. Over it you can strengthen the shelf upholstered with soft material. If the cat does not understand at once for what this design, slightly sprinkle material valerian drops or rub with cat's mint.
6. Every time when the cat sharpens claws in specially intended place, you praise her by a tender voice and stroke when tears up furniture – abuse. In a word, accustom an animal to a claw sharpener the same as you accustom to a tray. If you make a claw sharpener of sufficient height, the cat will be able to use it as a gymnastic shell.
