The external filter makes chemical and mechanical water purification for an aquarium. As a rule, such type of filters is installed on aquariums with a volume from 200 liters. For very big aquariums several filters can be required. These devices belong to high price category therefore it is possible to try to make such filter with own hands.
Instruction
1. Pick up a cylindrical plastic detail for a filter canister. For these purposes the piece of a plastic pipe will be suitable for the sewerage. Length of a fragment of a pipe has to be not less than a half of meter. The case will require the plastic details playing a role of a cover and a bottom. Make an opening in the case bottom. Twist the union in this opening. It can be bought ready or to take from other device, for example from the sensor from a heating copper of the bus. Then you need the film FUM for consolidation of a carving. Reel up it on the thread of the union. Fix the union the applied nut in a filter canister.
2. Cut out a circle from plastic. By means of a drill or a knife make in it many openings of the average size. Lay a circle on a filter bottom. Thanks to it the lower opening of the filter will strongly not get littered.
3. We start laying of the filtering filler. Over a plastic circle put a round piece of foam rubber. From above foam rubber fill special filler for water filtration which can be bought in pet-shop. It is made of ceramic material. Once again repeat layers. At first foam rubber, and then ceramic biofilter.
4. Over filter-beds the electric pomp is established. It will create the movement of water from below up. For a wire with the switch which goes from a pomp make an opening in the plastic casing. Isolate an opening sealant.
5. Prepare two tubes. They can be plastic. By means of them water inflow in the filter and its exit back in an aquarium will be carried out. Connect one tube to the lower exhaust outlet. It is necessary to connect the special faucet which will delete air from the external filter to the lower tube. Connect other tube to the top cover of the filter to the union. Ship tubes in an aquarium. Now it is possible to turn on the ready external filter and to check it in operation.
