After some operations or sterilization it is necessary to put on cats special postoperative body cloths which protect seams from external influences and mainly from rough cat's language. Cats often begin to lick wounds and to gnaw seams which from it disperse. Postoperative body cloths are on sale in veterinary shops and pharmacies.
Instruction
1. There is a classical model of a postoperative body cloth for cats on ties, there are also new models on velcros. Body cloths on velcros are more expensive, but allow to put quicker and more simply them on a cat. The body cloth is put on right after operation by doctors, but at home you should process seams therefore it is necessary to learn to remove and put on a body cloth. It is not difficult to remove a body cloth – untie all knots and develop it. But after processing of seams it is much more difficult to fix a body cloth on a cat.
2. The classical body cloth represents a fabric piece with cuts for pads and fourteen ties or tapes. Three couples of tapes are in the middle, two – behind cuts for forepaws, and two – is in a row perpendicular to averages. Put a body cloth on a stomach of a cat so that cuts for forepaws were about forepaws of a cat. Begin to tie consistently tapes on couples, beginning from the head: the first two tapes around the head, the following two couples cross-wise around forepaws, two average couples in parallel on a back, and the last two couples around hinder legs too cross-wise. Check that the body cloth does not close the lower part of a stomach that the cat had an opportunity to descend in a toilet. If the body cloth closes this part and disturbs a cat, most likely, you put on it back to front. If the cat actively resists during putting on of a body cloth, ask somebody to hold accurately it that it could not prevent you.
3. To put on body cloths on velcros more simply and quicker. Such body cloths have dlinnovorsny adhesive tapes which reliably fasten even in case animal hair gets to them. Velcros are located conveniently and allow to regulate the body cloth size. In them there is also an elastic tape which does not hold down the movement of cats. A body cloth form same as at classical, but tapes are wider also than them less. Pass forepaws throughout special cuts, on a neck fix a body cloth by a tape. Connect a body cloth on a back, having adjusted length. Pass a tail throughout a loop, connect one more tape on a back.
4. At first to a cat it is inconvenient in a body cloth, she starts walking sideways or back to front. If you have an opportunity, can for fifteen minutes a day remove a body cloth, but watch closely that the cat did not lick a seam and did not gnaw a thread.
