Breast-band – an accessory which is desirable for having in an arsenal of each owner of a dog. In pet-shops it is possible to pick up breast-bands for every taste and any size. But you can make it and independently.
It is required to you
- - long tape;
- - soft fabric;
- - two metal rings;
- - carbine;
- - buckle;
- - threads;
- - scissors;
- - pricker.
Instruction
1. You will need a long tape (better to take such from which sew handles of backpacks), soft fabric for finishing of inside of the breast-band adjoining to a body of an animal, two metal rings, a carbine, a buckle, threads, scissors and a pricker.
2. For a start take measurements of the pet. Measure the chest and necks of a dog and distance between lines of these two grasps.
3. Take a tape and cut off from it two pieces. Length of the first has to be equal to the sum of grasps of a neck and breast plus twenty centimeters for small dogs, thirty – for averages, thirty five – for large (five centimeters on loops and seams, the rest - on crossing of a tape and a stock for adjustment). Length of the second piece has to be distance between lines of grasps plus ten centimeters on loops and seams. Singe edges of the cut-off tape the lighter that its threads were not dismissed.
4. Take a long piece and sheathe it from that party which will adjoin to a body of a dog, soft fabric. If you do not make it, the breast-band will rub to your pet. On the one side of a piece make a double loop. For this purpose bend edge, pass it through a buckle and one metal ring, and sew it at the distance equal to width of a tape plus two centimeters. Make the second seam at a bend to fix a buckle. The metal ring has to remain in a big loop which turned out between seams.
5. Cut off the second end of a tape at an angle and singe the lighter, and then a pricker or a thick needle make in it several openings at distance two centimeters (as on belts).
6. Take the second piece of a tape, sheathe it soft fabric and from both of its parties make on the loop equal to tape width.
7. Now take a long part of a breast-band with a buckle and pass it throughout one of loops of the second detail. Then stretch the sharp end through a loop with a metal ring and again pass it throughout other end of the second piece. It was necessary to insert a belt into a buckle and to clasp it. At you that part of a breast-band which is put on a body of a dog turned out.
8. To make a lead, take the remained tape, measure length necessary for you plus thirty five centimeters. On the one hand make a loop for a hand not less than fifteen centimeters long. For this purpose bend the end of a tape at length necessary to you and sew it. From the opposite side fix a metal ring, having passed it throughout a small eyelet and having sewn up it. Pass a carbine in a ring.
