Some short-haired dogs who got used to city apartments very uncomfortably feel on the street in cold season. They do not want to walk, pull the owner back to the apartment, and the most sensitive can even catch a cold. Such mollycoddle needs warm clothes. The simplest option – a poponka with heater. It is easy to sew it if you own the most elementary tailor's skills.
To sew warm clothes for your favourite, it is not obligatory to buy new fabric at all. The old jacket from Bologna, polyester, the calendered kapron and any other rather light waterproof fabric will quite fit. As heater sheet sintepon will approach, but it is better to take fleece. For a lining the sliding fabric is necessary, it is the best of all synthetic. For work you need still an elastic band, a wide tape, a centimetric tape, the sheet of paper, a ruler, a pencil and sewing accessories.
It is the simplest to sew a triangular poponka. To construct a pattern, take 2 measurements. Measure length of a body of a dog from withers to a tail and distance between skakatelny joints, having laid a centimetric tape on a front leg and the basis of a neck to the second skakatelny joint.
Draw a straight line. Note on it distance between skakatelny joints. Halve this piece and to the middle carry out a perpendicular. Postpone on it length of a body of a dog. Connect this point straight lines to the ends of the first piece.
On a curve you will find from all types of fabric of preparation. By the way, it is more convenient to cut some synthetic fabrics not scissors, and something hot, like the soldering iron or the device for burning out. This way suits for the calendered kapron and some types of knitwear. Spread out a lining to a horizontal surface the face down, on it lay a heater layer, and from above – a layer of waterproof fabric, but face up. Sweep away all layers. Put a wide tape or a tape in half the face outside, having combined edges. Iron a bend. Enclose edge of a poponka between layers of a tape and accurately sheathe on perimeter a nametochny seam. Do not forget to sew in vertex of angle a loop for a tail. It can be made of the same tape or of an elastic band. It has to be such size that it was not necessary to pull with a force it on a tail. If necessary it is possible to cut a tape on the pieces equal to length of each party plus an allowance for a podgibka and to sew separately. Pristrochite covering. Instead of a tape it is possible to use a fabric strip. It is better to bend long cuts of such strip inside and to iron. Plan places for fixers. It is the simplest to make them of a usual linen elastic band. At least two fixers are necessary – on forepaws. They are carried out in the form of loops. The size has to be such that the loop did not slide off, but also did not squeeze a leg. Tack the ends of loops to a lining layer. If desired it is possible to make still a corbel of a tape. As a fastener it is possible to use a small carbine.
