Many beginning aquarians on ignorance too sponsor the water pets: often feed, include illumination without need, constantly change water. It cannot be done. In particular, water in an aquarium is more often than once in two weeks it is not recommended to substitute and furthermore you should not change it in full. It should be done only from time to time and in exceptional cases. For example, at mass death of fishes, emergence of a large number of microorganisms and an unpleasant smell or strong turbidity.
It is required to you
- - bucket or basin;
- - rigid sponge for glass;
- - hose siphon.
Instruction
1. Prepare a special hose siphon for change of water in an aquarium. It can be got in any shop for aquarians. The siphon is a long transparent hose with a nozzle in the form of a cone with the cut-off end. This nozzle you will also clean an aquarium bottom from dirt and the remains of a forage. It is possible to get an electric siphon on batteries. The hose has to be convenient long – not less than a meter, diameter – no more than 10-15 mm. If you take a hose of too large diameter, water will quickly pour out, from a bottom the deposit and sand will rise, and in a siphon can tighten even a snail or curious fish.
2. Get all seaweed, live or plastic, all ground snags and jewelry and also the filter from an aquarium. Wash these attributes without any chemical means and without using soap. Rather large amount of flowing water.
3. Put a bucket or a basin lower than the level of an aquarium. Lower the end of a hose with a nozzle siphon in an aquarium, since other end accurately involve water a mouth and quickly send a hose to a bucket. Try not to take waters. A powerful stream it will be watered from a hose. You drive a siphon on an aquarium bottom, collecting by water flow of a part of dirt, a forage. Because of the ease they will rise together with the drained water. Be not afraid to wet a hand above an elbow. Try not to direct a siphon towards fishes that they from shock did not jump out of an aquarium. At thorough cleaning of a bottom you will drain from 1/4 to 1/3 parts of water.
4. If there is a need, remove from the inside of aquarium walls a raid, residues of dirt and blue-green seaweed by means of a scraper or a rigid sponge.
5. A slow stream add fresh water in an aquarium. It has to be previously prepared: otstoyanny several days or with addition of special means for adaptation of water on the chemical composition for life of fishes. Fresh water has to be room temperature. Install the filter and fix all decorative elements and seaweed at the bottom of an aquarium.
