That the guard dog could work in any situation, it is required carrying out with it systematic trainings. In other words, regular exercises on development, improvement and fixing of the skills fulfilled during training.
Instruction
1. Develop and strengthen those skills which are main for her during the office work at a dog. For example, for guard (sentry) dogs such skills ability constantly will be on the alert and immediate reaction to the "stranger" who appeared near a post. For search dogs – it is work on a trace, search of the area, sample of objects.
2. In the course of training and the subsequent trainings follow the basic rule: never to give to a dog of tasks in the complicated conditions until all necessary skills in a situation, habitual for it, are brought to automatism.
3. Do not neglect rules of the general training as they form a basis for special office classes with a dog. If the dog smoothly executes simple commands, she will also easily master also special skills.
4. You hold a training of search dogs without lead. For reception working off "sample of things" equip special "square" in which during the training it is necessary to place various objects familiar and unfamiliar to a dog that it constantly developed skill of differentiation of smells. Gradually increase quantity of the foreign objects having a pungent smell that will allow a dog not to react to irritants subsequently, searching the area or the room.
5. You teach a dog to pick up a trail in conditions, brought closer to real. Lay traces at first on small distances, gradually increasing the extent of their chain. Pay special attention to work with the chains which are interrupted by different obstacles (road, a ditch, the river) and also prosecution in settlements.
6. You hold trainings on capture of a trace together with exercises on search of rooms – at first uninhabited, and then and inhabited. Train a dog to search the area in the complicated conditions, mainly in night-time only after fixing of all basic skills.
7. If you train a guard dog, try to do it on the same posts which you plan to use for service, in night-time and early in the morning. The dog intended for the contents on a deaf leash it is necessary to teach not react loud bark to "stranger", but also to be able to detain him. Therefore the assistants involved to a training of such dogs have to be always dressed in special suits.
