When developing cold, trembling, the increased drowsiness and reduction of activity of a parrot it is immediately necessary to start treatment of your pet not to allow complications.

It is required to you

  • - infrared or usual desk lamp;
  • - camomile tincture with honey;
  • - oil of an eucalyptus and menthol.

Instruction

1. Move a cage with a parrot to the warm place where he will not be got by room drafts. Temperature in the room has to be not lower than 22 and not higher than 25 degrees.

2. The best medicine for a parrot for cold — heat. It will be good if you use an infrared lamp. If you do not have it, it is possible to treat a parrot also an ordinary desk lamp, 60 watts.

3. Surely cover a part of a cage with some dense fabric. The parrot has to have an opportunity to hide in a shadow if becomes him hot. The lamp is capable to heat air temperature in a cage to 33 degrees.

4. Cage a parrot and at distance not less than 30 cm from it put a lamp.

5. Warm in such a way a parrot for one hour not less than 3 times a day.

6. Instead of water pour in a drinking bowl camomile tincture with honey or with special vitamins. It will help to restore quicker forces to a parrot.

7. If the disease is followed by allocations from nostrils, cough and a little rather heavy breath, it is necessary to treat a parrot also inhalations, lasting 20 minutes and it is not less than 2 times in day.

8. Take a tea cup, pour in it 5 drops of oil of an eucalyptus and menthol. Fill in all this with boiled water on slightly more than a quarter of capacity. Put it near a cage which together with capacity needs to be covered with dense fabric. Repeat this procedure for 5 days.

9. After recovery, for one more week give to a parrot special vitamin medicines on 5 drops a day. They can both be diluted in warm drinking water, and to drip directly in a beak.

10. If treatment did not help and deterioration in a condition of a parrot is noticed — give up self-treatment and go to the doctor-veterinarian.
