1. You should not be afraid to keep an animal in the house even if you shortly have to have a child. Any animal at competent approach can bring much more benefit for the baby, than harm. 2. If you already have any animal, do not give it before childbirth. Acquaint the kid with him better, teach to treat him correctly. Let the animal will get used and will understand that it is possible for him in the relation with the baby and what is impossible. Do not allow too close contact of the kid with the pet, especially at first. It is impossible that the cat got into a bed to the baby, and the dog licked it. It is hazardous to health of the kid. 3. It is the best of all to get that animal who you want and behind which you know how to look after - a dog, a cat, a parrot, a rodent. Care for the baby will require all your attention, on an animal there will be not enough time. You should not get along with the child, for example, a puppy or a kitten. You also will not be glad if it is necessary to clean constantly after the little pet, to train him, to accustom to a toilet, to feed on hours, to play actively with it, trying to tire the fidget. Do not assume that you had one more small child, to you will be enough and the. So it is worth thinking over this question in advance: or to take a little animal long before childbirth that it managed to mature by the time of appearance of the child on light, or to take already adult pet.
4. For communication with children many parents choose very quiet and peaceful animals: turtles, fishes. But also with them there are certain inconveniences. They will not disturb the child bark and will not scratch it, but the kid can break an aquarium or itself to do harm to an animal. Therefore it is so important that parents were constant intermediaries in communication of an animal and the child. But joy of such communication of the baby and your pet will not be replaced by no toys.
5. It is important to remember that the animal has to be surely imparted. Also therefore it is better to bring such pet of care for whom you know as much as possible. Its contact with the baby is inevitable therefore it is worth protecting both an animal, and the child from appearance of possible diseases. Besides, independently you watch a condition of an animal: in time cut it, comb out wool, cut claws, look after an oral cavity, you remove worms.
