If to ask somebody what animal is the cleanest, probably, many immediately will remember a cat. Of course, no doubt, the cat is very clean and daily pays to cleaning of the wool much attention. But it appears, in the wild nature there are other animals capable to argue in cleanliness with cats and even to take away from them a palm.
Clean, as pigYes, it is actually and mistakenly considered that pigs are dirty things only on the ground that they like to roll about in dirt. Dirt is necessary for this animals as hygienic means – drying up a crust and falling from sides of a pig, it carries away with itself and parasites and fleas who live on her skin. Besides, the pig will never spoil near that place where she sleeps or eats, you see, not all even among biped can behave also. The only thing that does doubtful superiority of pigs in questions of cleanliness, is a smell, characteristic of them.
The cleanest insects are flies, they wash constantly, they have no century and the retina of eyes is not protected from dust.
Neatniks badgersOne more candidate for champions on cleanliness is the badger. Though this animal also lives in the wild nature, he very strictly belongs to maintenance of purity around exits from the hole – badgers dig out special toilets and cesspools where they put waste of the activity. These holes with a diameter of 15-20 cm quite deep – up to 30 cm therefore smells from them are not caught. The badger also keeps ideal order in the hole, periodically changing the laying from fragrant hay containing herbs which are not loved by insects parasites. Therefore there are almost no fleas and ticks in hair of this animal.
The only living beings, except the person which equip the dwellings with the systems of the sewerage – ants. They use in ant hills and such disinfectant as formic acid.
Champions on cleanliness are the Japanese macaquesSurprising monkeys macaques, clever and inquisitive animals who strike with the cleanliness and congenital accuracy live in mountainous areas on the Japanese island of Honshu near hot springs. For these animals the purity is a cult and a way of life. To begin with the fact that they will never eat dirty food and before the use wash it in flowing water of sources surely thoroughly. In hot water of these sources they also spend the main part of the time, accepting a Spa procedure.
Sitting in water, they carefully examine each other, catch fleas and clean wool. They cannot give up this fascinating occupation, even when to a source also other animals come. It is often possible to see how the roe or a deer who approached a source are also exposed to sanitation. As roes they have not such neatniks as the Japanese macaques, of course, there are both ticks, and fleas. And joyful monkeys, having caught something in hair of a roe, immediately start this insect in the wool – that relatives began to clean them.
