1. Scientists divide animals into several categories which depend on origin, a way of food or the habitat. At everyone there are the unique representatives who do not have the competition.
2. On the planet the blue whale is recognized as the biggest animal. Mammal length seldom happens less than 3 meters. The weight of an animal begins from a mark of 180 tons. The blue (blue) whale is an owner of the largest bodies in the world. For example, heart of an animal weighs about 550-600 kg, and language about 3 tons (that is comparable with a weight of an adult Asian elephant). 3. Among land representatives of fauna the indisputable leadership belongs to the African elephant. Height of an adult male in withers is about 3-3.5 meters, length - up to 6-8 meters. The huge sizes and serious weight (about 6-7 tons) make an animal (both males, and females) untouchable from other predators. The danger can trap only little elephant calves.
4. The biggest predator in the world recognized the southern seal (elephant). The largest individuals live at coast of South Australia, the Republic of South Africa, Namibia. Length of an adult male quite often is 6 meters. The weight of a seal varies within 3000-4000 kg. The main food of the largest sea predator are fish and squids. 6. The biggest reptile in the world is the grebnisty crocodile. The dangerous representative of fauna lives in quite extensive territories: on east coast of India, the southeast of Asia and the North of Australia. Length of adult males can exceed a mark of 6 meters, and weight quite often is 1000 kg and more. The main food of a grebnisty crocodile – Crustacea, amphibians, mollusks and insects. However the largest reptile will not miss an opportunity to attack any animal who came into its possession.
7. Among snakes there is also the leader. The huge (green) anaconda living in tropics of South America is recognized as the largest. The weight of an adult individual reaches 250 kg, and length varies within 7.5 meters. Longer, but a lung is the mesh python: the set record makes 9.7 m.
8. Among birds there are also unique representatives. The biggest bird in the world the ostrich is considered. In height the male can grow approximately to 3 meters. The weight of such bird will be not less than 160 kg. The largest birds live on plains of Arabia and Africa.
