The spring pleases with the first tender sunshine, a green grass and blossoming of trees. And still at this time the different insects filling air around with hum, a chirr and bright paints wake up after a long dream.
Early insectsAs soon as in March begins to grow warm, at water it is possible to notice the earliest insects – a vesnyanok. Around still snow lies, and these creations with transparent wings and thin short moustaches on the head already run and fly near reservoirs. Adult individuals winter ashore, and larvae a vesnyanok live in water.
A little later, with snow thawing, also some of the main toilers of the wood – ants wake up. As soon as snow descends from an ant hill, these insects get out to its surface to get warm in the sun. And cespitose ants wake up only after the soil a little gets warm.
At once after snow thawing, on condition of lack of frosts, the first butterflies wake up. Bright and motley urticaria of the first flies up in air. She can be recognized on brick-red wings along which in front there are yellow and black spots, and on each side – blue treugolnichka. She received the name from the fact that only its caterpillars can eat a burning nettle.
It is considered that a small tortoiseshell can forecast the weather – if in warm day she hides to the secluded place, means there will be a cold snap or there will be a rain.
And a week later after small tortoiseshells lemon containers wake up. Their females differ in a pale flavovirent color, and males – bright yellow. Other butterflies appear much later, at them eggs, caterpillars and dolls who need time to turn into a butterfly winter. And at a lemon container and a small tortoiseshell already adult individuals winter. With thawing of snow there are active also such insects parasites as pincers. That is why it is necessary to be afraid of them not only in the presence of a green grass. After visit of the wood or even the city park it is necessary to examine carefully clothes and a body on existence of these parasites, even in March. In the early spring in air it is possible to hear characteristic hum – it large bumblebees moved off in searches of the first flowers. Thanks to the fast reduction of pectoral muscles causing loud hum, these insects maintain optimum body temperature +40os even if on the street it is no more than 10 wasps of heat.
The ability to maintain high temperature of a body allowed bumblebees to lodge in the north where other insects just would not survive.
Late insectsAmong those who long wake up in the spring, - ladybugs. These little bright insects appear to the middle of April and immediately turn to work - protect plants from a plant louse. It is easy to recognize them by the curved back and also yellow or red wings with black dots. In May, air is filled with harmful midges and mosquitoes which bring a lot of trouble both upon people, and animal. Stings of many midges are quite painful. Then it is possible to notice also the first sleepy flies. And at the end of spring, may-bugs – large insects of black-brown color with a characteristic bristle of mustache wake up. The truth they fly only 20-40 days, and then postpone underground testicles, the developing several years.
