1. The main advantage of these fighting small fishes is that they can live without oxygen and the filter. The fact is that cockerels breathe atmospheric air. Moreover, they do not even like to live in the aquarium equipped with the filter as such "dwelling" is oversaturated by oxygen, and the current created by the compressor only frightens them. Of course, you should not claim that cockerels can perfectly live also in 3-liter jars, but the fact that they perfectly feel in a small aquarium without any filtration and aeration, is the indisputable fact!
2. Here only cultivation of these small fishes can cause some difficulties and not each person wishes to become the professional selector. Many people in general support cockerels for pleasure their beauty. Cockerels and in other service are not whimsical: they perfectly feel in stale water and also have no increased appetite. However it does not mean at all that cockerels need to change water time in half a year and to feed them once a week. No!
3. Aquarium fishes of betta (or cockerels) are representatives of family labyrinth. These fishes were not casually christened "cockerels". The fact is that their color and aggressive fighting spirit reminds beautiful and cocky roosters. For example, if to place two males of betta in one aquarium, then the real cockfight with the spread fins and tails can be started. If in time not to separate "fighters", then one of them will die.
4. In general cockerels conduct the family tree from Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. There they live in warm and small reservoirs with the standing and silted water. 5. It is considered that on beauty and uniqueness of coloring equal to these small fishes is not present. Cockerels dazzle, and their colors are poured from red in pink, from pink in yellow, from yellow in orange, from orange in green, accepting various shades. Especially bright color can be observed at the males arranging "cock" fight. It is curious to watch small fishes and when they inflate the gills in wild spirits, forming the certain bulged "collar" around the head.
