The beginning aquarians often face such phenomenon as turbidity of water in an aquarium. It can occur for various reasons and it is important to know how quickly to solve this problem not to do harm to its inhabitants.
Some beginners hurry to equip the first aquarium and to populate it small fishes. Therefore in several hours waterof becomes muddy with a whitish shade. It happens because of violation of biological balance - the quantity of bacteria sharply increases. Water has to pass the period of "maturing" at first. For this purpose at first it is necessary to plant aquarian plants, to pour the water which settled within two days and to leave an aquarium for several days. During this time water will become transparent, sometimes slightly greenish shade. Biological balance will be restored and now it is possible to start small fishes.
In certain cases and in long ago the functioning aquarium mass reproduction of bacteria begins, it occurs when there is a lot of fishes and do not look after an aquarium. In that case it is necessary to make general cleaning. To transplant small fishes in other capacity, to make soil cleaning, to remove excess plants, to replace water and to wait several days until water is clarified - the balance will not return to normal.
Water can sometimes dim if to give a lot of dry feed. Small fishes badly eat it, the remains begin to decay that promotes reproduction of bacteria. Therefore it is recommended to pass to application of a live forage, for example, of a crank. It is necessary to give it from calculation to 5 pieces on an average small fish. Also substantial assistance in destruction of the uneaten remains of a forage is provided by snails, but their number needs to be controlled too. At the wrong lighting, water can become green, become muddy, on glasses, plants and scenery the raid appears. It happens because of rapid increase in quantity of seaweed. In such cases you make substitution of the third part of water once a week, start the small fishes eating seaweed strengthen or, on the contrary, reduce lighting. Surely include water filtration. Remove from glasses a raid a special scraper. A problem of turbidity of water it is easier to warn, than to eliminate. Therefore follow several rules: - do not change water in an aquarium completely, except for an emergency measure; - regulate quantity of a forage, normal it has to be eaten by small fishes in 10-15 minutes; - you watch quantity of small fishes in an aquarium, do not allow overpopulation; - regularly you make substitution of a part of water; - do not forget to delete the expanded plants, to clean soil and to filter water.
