Bees – the longtime friend of the person with whom since ancient times there were mutually beneficial relations. But whether you heard about bees murderers? Sounds horribly and, actually, to them it is nicknamed not without reason. And appeared and they became widespread not without the aid of the person. Desire to improve abilities of the European bees for obtaining bigger amount of honey led to serious consequences.
History of bees murderers
In far 1956 the Brazilian entomologist and the geneticist Uorvik Kerr removed a new species of a honey bee – the so-called "africanized" bee. During observations and experiments with the African kind of insects it found out that the last has the properties lacking relatives: works longer, flies further, differs in endurance and honey gives many times more.
Uorvik worked on crossing of bees for receiving an advanced look which could work in difficult Brazilian conditions. And already soon after detection of wonderful properties of the African bee her hybrids with the European types were created. Keeping of these insects was under strict control until one careless beekeeper from the next apiary did not set bees free.
Difficult character of bees murderers
At all the unique features the wonderful bee has very capricious character: she is aggressive, strong, and poison is more dangerous than her, than at other relatives.
Now it is known of several hundred cases of death of people from the africanized bees. No wonder that it is nicknamed them – "bees murderers".
Hybrid insects attack living beings in a radius of 5 meters and pursue the victim throughout half a kilometer. Removed in Brazil, they already survived bees - "natives" from the territory of South America and continue to move ahead with persistence on the continent North, representing big threat for health and life of people. Attempts of Brazilians to destroy an unsuccessful and dangerous hybrid were vain as bees murderers bred many times quicker, than managed to destroy them. Thereof the bee received further distribution, and she was helped by extraordinary endurance on which put an emphasis during creation of a look.
This insect attacks all moving, including a livestock, a bird, and the most terrible – the person.
At the moment continuation of distribution of a hybrid threatens with decrease in production of honey and also undermines agriculture of Americans as reproduction of many cultures of plants directly depends on pollination by their bees, and for this purpose it is dangerous to use bees murderers. Also in America the committee on bees working on the invention of a way of a stop of distribution of a hybrid is created and a large fine and even imprisonment for import of these bees and their larvae on the territory of the country is ordered to pay.
