Dogs within many centuries serve people, besides representatives of different breeds can be useful in different spheres. They help to hunt and graze the cattle, save people and protect them, protect property and just make the owners happier. In spite of the fact that there are also other, not less useful pets, it is accepted to call a dog the friend of the person.
Dogs perform some functions which cannot carry out other house animals. Such qualities as devotion, readiness to help and protect, ability to maintain a lot of things for the sake of the favourite owner are often peculiar to dogs. These animals have those surprising abilities which some people would like to see in the friends. It is about ability to love and wait, take sincerely the hint, to be near at a difficult moment. The dog will not betray and will not lie, as well as the true friend.
It is interesting that presence of these animals can well affect health of people and their mentality. Thanks to results of a set of the researches conducted by scientists it was succeeded to establish that owners of dogs have heart diseases less often and if they and have heart attacks, then the period of rehabilitation is rather short. The people living with owners from loneliness and therefore some owners of dogs who for any of several reasons live some do not feel unfortunate as their friend always is near. In civilized countries it is quite often accepted to humanize dogs. Some famous thinkers noticed that these animals are worthy to become true friends of the person as the insidiousness and aspiration to a lie are not peculiar to them. Frederick the Great also claimed that for long centuries of friendship the dog adopted the best qualities of the person, but at the same time never allowed human mistakes. Partly aspiration to hominifying of these animals and desire to attribute them only merits, became the reason that the dog not only is called the friend of the person, but sometimes even put above it as a being more honest and more sincerely.
