For centuries of joint life the animals learned to understand quite tolerably human language, and not only words, but where more body language. People not so succeeded in trans-species communications, however all of them acquired some nuances. For example, the fact that the dog wags a tail when she is happy. But at other four-footed companion of the person – cats – for some reason not such habit.
Subtleties of dog languageThe popular belief is enough that the dog wags a tail when she is happy. Really, the meeting with the favourite owner and other members of household, expectation of delicacy or a promise of walk, a type of the familiar person or a neighbour's dog, expectation that to a dog will throw a favourite toy or will pat on a nape, force an animal to twist a tail. However if to look narrowly at a dog more attentively, it is possible to notice that at the sight of other large and aggressive individual the animal also wags in the beginning a tail, and later publishes deaf growl and rushes to the attack. Scientists decided to study attentively so obvious contradiction and found out that, meeting the owner, the dog wags a tail with a bias to the right side, and, having risen in a fighting rack, inclines a tail on the left side stronger. So simple tool as a tail, allows an animal to express quite wide range of emotions.
"Inclines" a tail to the right side not only joy, but also curiosity at the sight of the unfamiliar object or a being who is not seeming to a dog menacing.
What the cat wants to tell
The tail plays a large role and in life of a cat, here only the small animal by means of this part of a body tries to convey other information, than a dog. The good sign – the tail which is fluffed up and raised by a pipe. It means that the animal perfectly feels, is in high spirits and fighting mood and is ready to play. If the cat sharply pulls a tail as if a switch, she shows these that she is angry. If at this moment not to leave an animal alone, it can scratch the person.
In case at a cat not only the tail, but also all back part moves – the animal was fond of hunting and prepares for a decisive throw.
Lead cat-and-dog lifeDogs are gregarious animals, cats prefer to live mostly in itself. Features of a way of life also caused so different habits of animals. Dogs had to communicate with relatives in pack, to show not only aggression, but also the arrangement. In turn, the person bred the dogs who caused a stir not only more willingly the hunting, shepherd's or security properties, but also love for the owner which they expressed, including, and by means of wagging. Cats were cultivated much later, they had no need to show the good attitude to fellows and therefore they did not get a similar habit and in the human dwelling.
