Coloring evolution

Desire was natural to change the hair color for women at all times. In Ancient Rome the girls dreamed to find blond curls. Spending hours in the scorching sun, they applied broths of herbs on hair, daily processed curls lemon juice and the turned sour milk. In Venice the fashionistas invented recipes of coloring to achieve fiery shades, and in India aimed to make hair bluish-black.

In Renaissance the alchemists wrote treatises about repainting of female hair and ciphered secrets of effective substances for such experiments.

At the end of the 19th century for clarification of hair have begun to use hydrogen peroxide. In 1907 the French chemist Eugène Choueller has invented hair-dye with addition of copper, iron and sodium sulfate. It has founded "The French society of safe dyes for hair".

From year to year hair-dyes were improved, became safer, less allergenic, but still ammonia was their cornerstone. This flying gas with caustic smell is capable to cause allergic reaction on head skin, mucous membranes. That pigments have got in hair, ammonia destroys superficial protective corneal layer of locks, raises scales of hair. Therefore after coloring the hair grow dull, lose ability to hold water, become dry and fragile.

Now there was paint of new generation – Garnier Olia, the first resistant cream-paint without ammonia.

Delivery of the painting pigments in hair by means of oils is the cornerstone of new formula. Scientists have found out that the combination of molecules to oils enhances effect of clarification of hair. These results bring us to threshold of new era in the field of coloring of hair: ammonia, and, therefore, has begun to smell it, will not pursue women any more.

Today color became steadier, hair as if shine from within, without losing saturation before the following coloring. The magic of Garnier Olia technology realizes all potential of the painting pigments and does hair healthy.
