The navel puncture, or piercing is not the cosmetic procedure, but operation. Therefore it is better to carry out it in specialized salons. If you want to pierce independently navel, then you need to observe some precautions.

- You remember, piercing navel, you injure skin and risk to get infection. Therefore before performance of piercing in house conditions once again well weigh everything.
- For skin piercing at first pick up suitable needle. It has to be not too thin as after piercing you should pass earring throughout opening.
- Pick up also worthy ornament. At first, until the navel heals, it is better to use quality material which has biological compatibility. It can be alloy of the titanium, gold 750 of test or plastics, niobium, teflon. Later you will be able to wear jewelry of other metals which does not cause in you allergy.
- Before operation carefully disinfect everything. Sterilize needle, wipe earring with alcohol. Moisten cotton wool with alcohol and carefully wipe navel and hands. Better if you put on sterile gloves.
- Now make marking. Carefully measure distance and put the end of future puncture. It has to pass ideally on the center, not warp in any party. The distance between openings has to correspond to the size of earring which you will pass.
- Before puncture anesthetize lidocaine near-umbilical area.
- Having clamped big and forefinger of one hand skin, take needle in another. Try on the place of puncture once again. Sharp and confident movement make puncture.
- At once, without releasing skin and without unclenching fingers, insert earring into opening. Now relax fingers.
- Process wound chlorhexidiny or other disinfectant. You carry out washing several times per day.
- It is desirable to perform operation in cold season, having several days off to stay at home. At exit to the street stick wound with earring that it was not hooked for clothes.
- Carefully you monitor healing process. If you have made puncture in the flying, then before full healing of wound it is impossible to bathe in reservoirs and pools, it is impossible to bare navel. Accurately wash out and grease with hydrogen peroxide until the wound finally drags on.
