Beauty Hits: 165

philosophical dictionaries beauty is defined as universal component of culture in which the attitude of the subject of perception towards the perfection perceived by sense organs is recorded.

There is also lot of other definitions. For example, Beauty is what will save the world (Dostoyevsky) or Beauty is perfect objectivization of will at the highest step of its cognoscibility (Schopenhauer). But, in fact, these words are not turned in any way to that component of human essence which it is faultless, but subjectively distinguishes beautiful with ugly.

Exactly there is also the main complexity. Beauty is property of perception of the world, and quite often perception types do not match at all. In other words what is ideal for one, can seem to another ugly: also facet perfection, and music of spheres different people and are perceived differently. There is no such standard uniform for all times and the people. But the feeling rather chuvstvovany beauty, is inherent in all visited this world. How at least to approach understanding of this phenomenon slightly closer?

So, the person operates with concept of beauty at the household level: beauty of the blossoming tree, beauty of the woman or man, beauty of landscape outside the window. But it is not external signs and details but only their perception. In other words, besides, feature of the subject to perceive the world so that some details at once draw attention to themselves and are recognized as beautiful or ugly. However beauty of the piece of music or poetic text, beauty of the syllable speaking can be likewise clear. But hardly the person will be able to give the distinct answer to question by what objective principles it was guided, separating subject, action or image from other phenomena of the world and doing it more significant. For this reason even among experts the disputes on real fullness esthetic terms do not cease for centuries. The riddle of beauty is difficult just because objective perception of the world in general is far outside words. Classical example: rose bud. It is possible to define at once what its color, smell, the size. The botanist will tell to what look the plant belongs, the gardener will call grade, the seller will determine the cost. And the poet will pick up metaphors and can remain unclear those who have not seen anything special in this flower. But signs, classification estimates the principles of golden ratio and will not even explain poetic receptions why the rose is beautiful. Where and in what beauty is concluded it? Perfection, absolute harmony, faultlessness – all this only dry definitions, despite plurality of attempts to enshrine them in reference books on esthetics and philosophical dictionaries. Not without reason great artists of the Renaissance whose creativity has been imbued with the ideas of aspiration to harmony, refused further work on cloths and frescos if they understood that achievement and comprehension of ideal at this stage is impossible.
