Structure of the business plan

The business plan represents the document which contains a complete description of activity, possible potential, gives an assessment of external and internal environment of business and also data on the planned development of the enterprise.

The beginning of creation of any business plan is idea working off. The idea can consist in one offer and to be rather ingenious, but to the investor such brevity will not be clear therefore it is necessary to develop the business idea and to present it in the business plan form.

The standard structure of the business plan includes 12 points:

  10. Financial plan. Contains information on necessary financial resources for implementation of the offered plan. Also provides data on estimated profit.
  11. Risk analysis. The description of all possible risks is provided and recommendations about their data to a minimum are made.
  12. Represents documents on the basis of which the business plan was created. For example, market researches, catalogs, price lists, characteristics of competitors.

The submitted list is the general recommended structure of the business plan, and not so obligatory. This structure does not provide in itself inclusion of minor information, but such data need to be prepared for the subsequent discussion. The structure and contents of the business plan can be complemented with other sections. All document has to be very detailed in order that the investor had an opportunity completely to assess a situation after his study.
