Many young mothers successfully and long nurse, never resorting to decantation. Ideally correctly established lactation has to occur quite so: the amount of the developed milk corresponds to needs of the child, and the woman at the same time has no problems. 1. Control a lactation from first minutes after the child's birth if it is possible. As a rule, in maternity hospital newborn put to a breast in the rodzal. This practice allows the kid to receive valuable colostrum, and mothers – to be adjusted on the correct breastfeeding. Be ready to direct emergence of milk: it can occur in the first day after the delivery. It is important to do not pass this moment as otherwise the subsequent decantation will be very painful.
2. Master decantation by hands. At first the easy massing movements warm up a mammary gland a little. Remember that movements should not bring you discomfort. After that clasp a breast with fingers and make the quiet squeezing movements towards a nipple areola. As a result of these actions, milk has to follow with ease. Try not to devastate a breast completely: stop when gland becomes rather soft.
3. Use a qualitative milk pump. Sterilize it according to the instruction. Reach a comfortable position, densely press a silicone nozzle of the device to a mammary gland so that it was not formed either gaps, or excessive compression. If you got a manual milk pump, exaggerate a pomp with low intensity, gradually increasing vacuum degree. In this case milk has to be decanted easily and without any painful feelings. For bigger convenience and frequent decantations it is expedient to get an electronic milk pump.
