1. Remember exact date when your last periods began. Further calculations of term of pregnancy in days without use of special tests depend on the accuracy of day of its definition. It is better if you are accustomed to celebrate in the calendar the first day of the beginning of "monthly" – it and there is the first day of a menstrual cycle which usually lasts from 24 to 31 days.
2. Count on days of your menstrual cycle whether there is no delay of approach of "these" of days. At the same time be guided by duration of the previous cycles. If the delay makes 1-2 days, and earlier such delays happened from time to time, then it is quite possible that pregnancy did not occur, and it is worth waiting quietly a couple of days more. If delays did not happen before, then it is possible to assume pregnancy.
3. Be guided by the fact that at an average 28-day menstrual cycle the ovulation comes approximately in its middle, that is for 14 day, but each woman can individually have shifts of day of an ovulation for 1-2 days both in that, and in other party of a cycle. Day of an ovulation can be determined by special tests or by method of measurement of basal temperature during all cycle – the first phase of a cycle temperature is usually lower than 37 degrees, in day of an ovulation there is its small decrease, and in the second phase - its sharp jump or gradual increase. If at a delay of a menstrual cycle it is observed and the level of rectal (basal) temperature is higher than 37 degrees more than 3 days in a row, then the occurred pregnancy is probable.
4. Consider at calculations that spermatozoa keep ability to fertilization sometimes up to 5-7 days, but the term of "life" of an ovum is short – about 24 hours. Therefore, knowing date of an ovulation, it is possible to define and day of the beginning of pregnancy – it coincides with the moment of fertilization of an ovum a spermatozoon. From this day it is also possible to consider how many days last pregnancy.
