Every fifth minor aged from 10 up to 17 years, regularly using the Internet, falls a victim of sexual harassments of adult users. More than 75% of a child pornography extend online, according to some information, in network there are over forty thousand pornwebsites.
The child pornography on profit level ranks third in the world, having yielded a position to drug traffic and weapon. Annually about two million children are involved in this business. According to data of the Interpol, the persons who are engaged in shooting of child porn have annual income to one billion dollars – more, than the Colombian drug mafia.
The carried-out monitoring of the Ukrainian Internet resources showed that on the websites twenty percent of products of pornographic character contain, including also the nursery. At everything at the same time demand for a child pornography exceeds the offer three times. The main consumers of a child pornography are men (99%).
To find the new victim, Internet pedophiles act according to a certain scheme. They come into nurseries on-line chats and there meet children. Having won over the child during the casual conversation, the criminal, using a plausible excuse, makes to the victim an appointment in real. Money or other rewards, for example, drugs are offered children. Children from dysfunctional families or teenagers to whom parents allocate not enough pocket money become the victims of such traps often. After the real meeting there is a photo and video filming. But there are also other schemes working for the pornindustry, the child can fall a victim of the criminal, communicating with him via the webcam. Sometimes parents, without suspecting that, push the children in network of the pornindustry. So, for example, the children's model agencies into which parents bring children in practice are often open pornbusinessmen. For example, in 2004 in Ukraine neutralized the criminal group within three years working as the model agency. They placed pornpictures and movies with participation of a large number of children on various foreign pornwebsites. In an hour of shooting paid children from 30 to 200 hryvnias. Researches of psychologists show that participation in pornshooting does not take place completely for children's mentality. Such children, as a rule, begin to treat themselves and other people as goods, lose valuable moral qualities, begin to use drugs, etc. To combat a child pornography floating around the Internet it is very difficult. Being open global information network, the Internet does not belong to any certain country of the world. Therefore each state fights against distribution of a child pornography to networks as can. Owners of hostings are not eager to be responsible for those who create the websites on their servers. The criminal legislation of the different countries did not prescribe uniform standards punishments for creation and distribution of a child pornography. Also the new effective system of counteraction to distribution of a pornography on the Internet will not be developed yet, all responsibility for children lies on their parents. They have to watch in what their child on the Internet is engaged.
