Definition to the concept ""consciousness"" was tried to be given a millennium ago. With development of philosophical doctrine there were many certain currents and schools which had the methods in studying a phenomenon. Still there is no accurate objective definition of consciousness, its structure.

The problem of consciousness was studied and studied by various sections of philosophy. Definition of the concept "consciousness" of philosophy

In philosophy the consciousness can be defined as the highest ability of mental reflection of surrounding reality. Consciousness is inherent only in the person. Consciousness cannot be passionless, unemotional reflection of the internal, or outside world. It is necessary to speak about a phenomenon of consciousness, how about at the same time experience and knowledge which happen in the individual. There is other definition of consciousness – as purposeful display of surrounding reality on the basis of which his behavior is regulated. To this idea of consciousness the human thought went long enough. At the same time long time unconscious and conscious were a single whole, were not divided. Consciousness was often equated to intelligence and thinking. The big problem for allocation of consciousness, its definition is that in each act of consciousness the uniqueness and originality of the person is displaced. Consciousness is expressed literally in each human manifestation. According to Nietzsche, he cannot be separated from life experience. It needs to be studied together with it.

Structure of consciousness

The philosophy considers consciousness as a complete system. However in each certain philosophical current it has absolutely different structure. For example, A. Spirkin allocates three main spheres: informative, emotional, strong-willed. And here K.G. Jung allocates already four functions of consciousness which prove at the conscious and unconscious level: thinking, feelings, feelings, intuition. Still philosophers try to give accurate structure of consciousness, but all this becomes to some extent subjectively.
