Even small children have to know how call their parents and where they live. It is possible to put the business card or just piece of paper with the address and phones of parents in one of pockets of a kidswear. Younger school students now actively use cell phones. Make sure that in fast set the child has numbers of the immediate family. With the senior children it is also possible to agree about a meeting in the agreed place.
Surely explain to the child that if he was lost, then he needs to remain on the place but not to go for search of parents. Psychologists advise to teach absolutely small child to sit down on a floor and to call parents. This behavior is natural to the lost kid.
It is very important to teach the child not to trust strangers. The child has to react to attempts of the stranger to take away him somewhere refusal and loudly repeated phrase: "You are a stranger! Help!". Thus passersby will pay attention to the events and will come to the rescue of the kid.
As parents have to behave
For visit of mass actions of the child it is better to dress in bright colors. So it will be simpler to be noticed in crowd. At a big congestion of people conduct the child before yourself or constantly you hold it by a hand. Before an exit from the house surely photograph the child who is already dressed for walk on the phone. It will be easier for passersby to recognize your kid by such picture. If the child was lost attentively look back on the parties. Do not panic. Move ahead towards the possible movement of the child, showing to passersby of his photo on the phone and asking whether they saw it. If you noticed the child in crowd, do not call him, and quickly go to him. As a rule, on mass festivities it is noisy, and the child either will not hear your shout or will not define a source of a sound and again will escape. If you lost the kid at stadium, in shopping center or in the public park surely address to administration. Employees have to help you, having advertized in loss of the child on a public address system. If in establishment there are surveillance cameras, security guards can find your kid with their help and monitor his movements. On the street do not hesitate to address the closest police officer. Try to explain most precisely to him your situation, show the photo of the lost child. The police officer has to contact on the radio set the colleagues who are also patrolling the place of mass festivities of citizens, and then chances of success in search of the kid considerably will increase.
